Blessing of the Waters 2022 and mini Festival

An excellent and well attended Theophania celebration took place today at the Freyberg Beach Wharf. Despite the rough weather, the Blessing of the Waters went ahead, and a large group of divers braved the choppy waters in an attempt to retrieve the Holy Cross and get a Blessing too. It is fair to say that the youth group that dived for the Holy Cross today is the largest in recent memory! Congratulations to the winner and all participants.
